Fantasma Games welcomes back Fredrik Johansson as CEO
Fantasma Games Founder and current CCO Fredrik Johansson has returned to the role of CEO of the company.
The decision comes as the game developer targets significant growth in the coming months. Johansson will be responsible for the day to day running of the company, leading the senior management team, and setting the overall direction and strategy that the studio will take.
A statement from Fantasma Games read: “Johansson returns to the top job with the backing of the developer’s largest shareholders who believe he is the best person to guide the studio into new markets, sign partnerships with more operators and oversee its busy game roadmap and production line.”
The company recently made its US debut, going live exclusively with BetMGM in Michigan and West Virginia via distribution partner Light and Wonder. Further state and operator launches are expected to follow soon.
The group also recently reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2022, with net sales climbing 349% year-on-year to SEK4.8m ($470,000).
“I am thrilled to return to the role of CEO of Fantasma Games and to have the support and trust of our largest shareholders when it comes to taking the studio into its next chapter,” said Johansson.
