The multi-year agreement, which covers the upcoming tournament held between 8 and 15 July, will see Synergy Sports’ technology products and services provided to competing teams.

The tournament is scheduled to run once every two years, with Synergy Sports contracted until 2030.

Synergy Sports Senior Director of Baseball Matthew Lawrence commented: “Haarlem Baseball Week is an iconic international tournament and the addition of the advanced technological capabilities of Synergy Sports ensures its continued prominence on the global baseball calendar. it continues our mission of providing the tools and resources that enable athletes and coaches to compete at the highest level.”

Synergy Sports develops and implements camera systems to record and provide live streaming capabilities for teams, coaches and organisations. Through these recordings, the supplier can produce stats and insight for teams to improve their performance levels.

According to Synergy Sports, all 30 NBA franchises, in addition to international teams and collegiate programs all use its technology.

These data feeds can also be licensed to betting operators for a fee.

Haarlem Baseball Week Chairman Guus van Dee said: “We are very happy we could sign our dream line-up for this special edition. We welcome them from all over the world. The partnership with Synergy Sports is a new enrichment for our level of organisation.”

The announcement comes as the tournament, known as Honkbalweek Haarlem in Dutch, celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Teams from the Netherlands, USA, Italy, Japan, Curacao and Cuba are expected to participate in July’s edition.
