The new Acrisure Arena, owned by Oak View Group and due to open later in 2022, has announced Stand Together as its Social Impact Partner.

The Arena, which will play host to the new American Hockey League franchise, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, will eventually have eight Founding Partners, including Oak View Group.

Oak View Group leads a consortium of equity investors in the sports and entertainment industry, operating out of London, New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

The project owns or operates multiple arenas and stadia across the world, including Climate Pledge Arena at Seattle Center, UBS Arena, Moody Center, Co-op Live in Manchester, Arena São Paulo, Baltimore Arena and FirstOntario Centre Arena.

On 30 March, Oak View Group purchased 25 acres in Las Vegas, which it will transform into a $3bn entertainment district, complete with casino, hotel resort and amphitheatre-style entertainment centre.

The Acrisure Arena’s other Founding Partners include Spotlight 29 Casino, Alaska Airlines and Verizon to date.

Oak View Group CEO Tim Leiweke commented: “There is no denying the remarkable power of music to bring people together. With the launch of Acrisure Arena and our partnership with Stand Together, we will harness the power of music to bring people together and create movements that affect change.

“I'm honoured to have Stand Together join us as the exclusive Social Impact Partner of the Acrisure Arena. Together, I know we can transform the positive impact sports and entertainment facilities can make within our communities.”

Through the Social Impact Partnership, Stand Together and Acrisure Arena will create a space for entrepreneurs, organisations and musicians to address some of the social issues of our time.

Stand Together CEO Brian Hooks said: “Music brings people together and musicians have been an essential part of the most important changes in our country, inspiring people to make progress on issues that otherwise seemed impossible.

“That's why Stand Together is committed to partnering with musicians and the country's most effective changemakers to tackle the root causes of our society's biggest challenges. We're excited to be taking this important step forward with Acrisure Arena.”
