Elys Game Technology announces Washington partnership with District Hospitality

Situated in the prominent Dupont Circle area of Washington, DC, BetDupont is a stylish lounge bar offering both table and cigar service with Mediterranean/American fusion dining.

If successful in its bid for licensing, this partnership with District Hospitality would be Elys Game Technology’s fourth iteration of this restaurant sportsbook expansion.

The partnership has an initial three-year term as of the date of the issuing of the licence, and will offer two possible extensions of two years each.

Michele Ciavarella, Executive Chairman of Elys, said of the agreement: “We are delighted to partner with District Hospitality to operate BetDupont in the Dupont Circle area of Washington, DC, and look forward to continuing our sportsbook expansion within restaurants and bars in DC and neighbouring states over the coming months.”

Last year saw Elys introduce its plan to place white-label sportsbooks in bars and restaurants, with the first at the Grand Central Restaurant and Sportsbook in the Adams Morgan district of Washington, DC.

In February 2022 Washington, DC Office of Lottery and Gaming granted approval for Elys to expand the Grand Central Restaurant and Sportsbook, allowing for an increase in betting services available to customers.

Ciavarella went on to detail how the company’s expansion into restaurant sportsbooks has helped the company enjoy rapid growth, through the implementation of a unique business model with low initial overheads and installation costs.
