Murphy, who was the leading jockey at Royal Ascot 2021 and who is currently a retained rider for Qatar Racing, will join the Sky Sports Racing team, aiming to use his knowledge and experience to provide expert insight and analysis.
Murphy will take part in preview shows and in a course walk that will be broadcast in the run-up to the main event, and will feature on live afternoon coverage of the five-day meeting.
Alex Hammond will present coverage for all five days and will be joined by a star-studded roster of pundits including Kevin Blake, Freddy Tylicki and Seb Sanders.

Sky Sports Racing will debut a new studio for Royal Ascot 2022 and will feature innovative technology such as the analysis tool SkyPad, as well as Hi-Motion cameras to enhance the viewing experience.
The broadcaster will cover 38 hours of live footage from the track, with US viewers able to tune in via NBC with presenter Britney Eurton.
Online coverage will be presented through a dedicated website and will feature exclusive blogs from Hollie Doyle, stable tours and expert tips.
