PointsBet Canada becomes Official Betting Partner of ClubLink
PointsBet Canada has announced a new partnership with golf club owner and operator ClubLink.
The multi-year deal will see PointsBet become ClubLink’s Official Sports Betting Partner; this comes after the bookmaker entered the Ontario sports betting market in April.
PointsBet has made efforts to solidify its position in the Canadian market, penning partnership agreements with established Canadian companies, including a deal with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment in April 2022.
Nic Sulsky, Chief Commercial Officer at PointsBet Canada, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with one of the most recognised brands in Canadian golf. A friendly wager is a regular occurrence among golfers enjoying a round which makes the ClubLink audience a natural fit for us.”
Keesje Kort, Director of Commercial Partnerships at PointsBet Canada, went on to say: “We’re looking forward to a summer of fun engaging ClubLink’s members throughout their clubs in Ontario.”
ClubLink currently owns over 50 championship golf clubs across Canada, hosting over 1,000,000 rounds annually at its Ontario locations.
Brent Miller, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at ClubLink, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with one of the preeminent sports wagering operators in the world and to add value to the ClubLink Member experience through PointsBet’s support of our network-wide championships.”
The fine came after allegations that the company was in breach of Standard 2.05 of the Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming.
