Entain hopes its NFTs will continue the foundation’s mission to educate the public on responsible gambling, and will donate all proceeds from the sale of NFTs to the Charles Oakley Foundation.

All NFTs are now available for purchase on OpenSea, and feature visuals such as blinking eyes to represent late-night play, and an array of calendars highlighting players who have had a high number of depositing days.

Designs feature both 2D designs and GIFs, and will correlate with Entain Foundation’s responsible gambling app, Gamble Responsibly America. NFT designs were created in partnership with Enlighting Media.

Entain's Gamble Responsibly America application provides practical tools and assistance to those facing issues with problem gambling.

Martin Lycka, Senior Vice President for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling for Entain and Trustee for Entain Foundation US, said: “Education and awareness are at the core of Entain Foundation US' preventative approach to encouraging responsible gambling.

“These NFTs are a memorable, digestible way to teach people how to recognise the nine markers of a gambling problem.”

Entain’s continued focus on responsible gambling follows its pursuit of acquisitions across global markets. This includes the recent acquisition of Dutch operator BetCity, for a consideration of $312.9m.

The operator’s plight to introduce responsible gambling measures was boosted in May 2022, when it received GamCare’s Advanced Safer Gambling Standard, receiving Advanced Level 3 Standard for its online activities.
