The deal will see Betsson branding and promotional material shown throughout stadiums, on media backdrops and across the tournament's social and digital media channels. Betsson will also be made content sponsor for the tournaments ‘Official Lineups’.
Additionally, Betsson will be provided with tournament assets and footage for use in its own promotional and marketing content.
Betsson CEO Jesper Svensson said: “The rationale behind sponsoring one of the biggest moments of the world’s sports calendar in 2022 is very simple – Betsson’s commitment to sport and its support for gender equality.
“CONMEBOL’s women representation is inspiring with some 42% of its officials, 55% of its managers and 18% of its directors being female. At Betsson we have a similar representation with approx. 40% of our workforce identifying as female.”
Betsson has looked to strengthen its position in the Latin American market, investing in sportsbook infrastructure specifically tailored for the region and optimising “its supply to further improve player experience.”
The operator was named as the Official Regional Sponsor for the 2021 edition of the men’s Copa América.
