Swintt appoints Domenico Vacchiano as Chief Architect

By Gambling Insider

Swintt has brought software specialist and Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) alumnus Domenico Vacchiano on board to spearhead a major platform upgrade.

The online casino veteran will serve as Chief Architect, tasked with overhauling Swintt’s iGaming platform.

To this end, Vacchiano will need to draw on his 20-plus years of experience in senior technical roles. Most recently, he served as Director of Engineering at Casumo, but has worked for multiple iGaming brands during his career.

These include Catena Media, where Vacchiano was Head of Development, and GiG, where he served as Head of Technology and later Director of Software Development.

Swintt’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), David Flood, called Vacchiano’s appointment a “major coup,” remarking: “Domenico is one of the most talented and experienced software architects and specialists in the industry.”

He added: “To be able to bring in someone of this calibre is a major coup for Swintt as we look to take our technical infrastructure and platform to the next level.

“We have been planning the upgrade of our next-generation platform and under Domenico’s guidance, we can finally do this.”

Alongside leading Swintt’s platform upgrade, Vacchiano will work to foster innovation and digital transformation within the business and introduce “disruptive technologies.”

“I am thrilled to join such an innovative company with a truly agile and cutting-edge technology culture and one that continues to produce incredible games distributed across top-tier brands,” he said.

“I am delighted to join the team in our beautiful office in Sliema and to start contributing with my extensive technology and iGaming experience.”
