From early August, the property’s pool and hotel will be closed to prepare for the extensive renovation and are not expected to reopen until 2023.
However, Silverton’s casino, restaurants, aquarium and other amenities will remain open during the multimillion-dollar remodel.
When complete, the reimagined hotel will feature 300 so-called “rustic-luxe” guest rooms and suites, with three distinct “design stories” or themes: Cowboy Kitsch, Rustic Modern and Livin’ Lodge. These were inspired by Silverton’s sister property, Hotel Drover.
“This is more than a room remodel,” said Silverton CEO Craig Cavileer. “This was an opportunity to creatively reinvent our entire hotel operation in Las Vegas.
“While we are keeping aspects of our lodge theme that our guests have enjoyed over the years, our new rooms and suites will envelop our guests in a new spirit of rustic elegance, providing a unique Las Vegas hotel experience.”
Kayla Wilkie, Majestic Realty Co’s Director of Design and Development for Lifestyle and Hospitality, led the design of Hotel Drover and will now do likewise for Silverton.
Cavileer added: “Kayla did a phenomenal job in designing the award-winning Hotel Drover in Fort Worth and I expect that she will deliver an amazing product for us here as well.”
Alongside its Las Vegas renovation, Silverton is expanding to Pahrump, Nevada where it will build the Silverton Ranch Casino. This project is expected to break ground later this year.
