150 arrested in two Thai gambling den raids

A total of 150 gamblers have been arrested, with gambling equipment and over 11m baht in cash seized, during separate raids on two gambling dens in the city of Hat Yai in Thailand.

The first raid saw a combined force including soldiers and police enter a three-story building in the Hat Yai municipality, reports the Bangkok Post.

125 people were arrested and detained at a local police station, while a number of items were seized including chips, computers, sets of gambling paraphernalia, over 100 decks of poker cards, two firearms and 11.3m baht.

The second raid took place in tambon Khlong Hae of Hat Yai, with 25 gamblers captured along with sets of gambling paraphernalia, chips and documents detailing the pawning of vehicles.
