New Jersey reports $480.7m revenue for July

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has reported total gaming revenue of $480.7m for July 2022, a 7% increase from the $450.6m reported in July 2021.

For the year-to-date, total gaming revenue was $2.91bn, a 14% increase from the $2.56bn reported in the prior period.

Total casino win for the nine casino hotel properties in the state was $298.9m, an increase of 8% from the $276.9m reported in July 2021. Year-to-date total casino win for the nine properties was $1.61bn, up 16% from the $1.39bn for the prior period.

Internet gaming win for July 2022 was $136.7m, up 15% from the $118.7m in the prior period. Year-to-date internet gaming win climbed 26% from $752.9m to $951.2m.

And sports wagering gross revenue was down 18%, from $55m in July 2021 to $45m in July 2022. Sports wagering gross revenue for year-to-date was $353.2m, a 17% decline from the $423.3m reported in the prior period.

Slot machine win represented $215.8m of July 2022 total casino win, a 6% year-on-year increase, with table game win representing $83.1m of total casino win for the month, up 15% year-on-year.

And for internet gaming win, peer-to-peer’s total was $2.3m, with the majority of revenue in this segment coming from other authorised games, at $134.4m. The former was down 26% from July 2021, with the latter up 16%.

In terms of properties, it was Borgata who led the way, reporting July 2022 revenue of $124m, which is a 16% year-on-year increase. Hard Rock and Golden Nugget followed with totals of $59.9m and $49.2m respectively.
