Fubo Sportsbook launches in New Jersey

FuboTV’s subsidiary Fubo Gaming has launched Fubo Sportsbook in New Jersey, after completing the soft play phase of the state’s regulatory process.

Fubo Gaming is now available across the Garden State and offers wagers on live and future collegiate sporting events on iOS, Android and on website.

Players will have access to Fubo Sportsbook’s proprietary feature Watch & Wager, which leverages FuboTV’s first-party data to recommend relevant bets based on sporting events being watched by a customer.

The sports streaming TV platform claims its sportsbook is the first to integrate watching and wagering on sports into one ecosystem.

Launching on 7 September 2022, Fubo Sportsbook’s launch coincides with the start of the US college and NFL football season.

Fubo says it will continue to iterate its app, launching additional features in its attempts to further integrate the overall sports experience on its sportsbook.

The company says this launch highlights its commitment to interactive wagering, even though it has placed its online wagering business under strategic review.

Fubo says that during the current macroeconomic climate, it will no longer be able to pursue its sportsbook as a single entity, but will continue to integrate sports betting on its platforms.

The launch of Fubo in New Jersey was completed via an agreement with Caesars Entertainment.

Fubo Gaming President Scott Butera said: “Launching Fubo Sportsbook in New Jersey is an important early step in the development of our integrated platform, which includes a recently improved user experience and enhanced product capabilities.

“As one of the largest and most established sports betting markets in the US, New Jersey will allow Fubo to analyse and efficiently develop the most engaging product features that are focused on driving streaming customers into wagering. New Jersey is known for having deeply passionate sports fans, who, we believe, will enjoy our immersive sports wagering and viewing experience in time for the football season.”
