Nikunen, an iGaming veteran, will serve as Company Partner and Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), a role in which Air Dice is hoping to leverage his industry experience.

His career includes an over eight-year tenure at Finnplay, where he held two C-level positions: Chief Commercial Officer and, immediately prior to his departure, Chief Marketing Officer.

During his time at Finnplay, Nikunen worked with Air Dice and was able to familiarise himself with the brand’s content. For this reason, he said it was an “easy decision” to join.

“I’m delighted to join Air Dice, as they have an excellent track record of delivering quality products and services within the iGaming supply chain,” Nikunen commented.

“It was an easy decision to join the company, as having worked with Air Dice during my time at Finnplay, their products were always packed with gaming expertise which is synonymous with quality, advanced technology and business integrity.”

Alongside his tenure at Finnplay, Nikunen also worked for Finnish operator Paf between 2008 and 2009.

But, perhaps more relevant to his new role, Nikunen is a Founding Partner of Fortuity Holdings, which launched LuckyCasino.com before selling it to Glitnor in 2018.

Sami Mäkinen, Air Dice CEO, said: “The appointment of Erkki, as Partner and CBDO, given his over 10 years in B2B and B2C iGaming, with Finnplay and Fortuity Holdings, and extensive commercial, sales and marketing expertise will ensure our growth plans are achieved.”
