Through the partnership, Huobi users will now be able to buy crypto assets, benefiting from international and local payment methods in the region.

Lily Zhang, CFO of Huobi Group, said after announcing the partnership: “Latin America lays claim to a young and vibrant population brimming with enthusiasm for the crypto industry, and we have observed a significant increase in the number of new Huobi Global users from this region.

“Our collaboration with AstroPay underscores our goal to make the purchase and trading of digital assets a secure, convenient and enjoyable experience for everyone."

Meanwhile, Sara Rita, AstroPay CCO, added: “AstroPay is well known for providing payment services for companies looking to target the diverse Latin American market. Huobi Global users will be able to purchase and sell their crypto assets in local currencies, which ultimately lead to more trading, higher volume, and greater engagement within the sector.”

Last month, AstroPay announced it had launched a new VIP loyalty programme, giving those involved access to special benefits, such as dedicated support and unique experiences.

Rita said: “We are thrilled to be launching the new VIP Programme. This is a testament to our focus on meeting end users’ needs, making those who have a close relationship with us and continue to use our services, feel especially valued.

“We are constantly providing our clients with new and creative offers and this year we plan to give out thousands of rewards.”
