New multiplayer app Wizz by FDJ goes live on iOS

Française des Jeux (FDJ) has debuted a new multiplayer gambling app. Wizz is now available for iOS, but Android users will have to wait a while longer – though FDJ did say it will go live “soon.”

Nevertheless, for those people who do have access to Wizz, they can now download and connect their existing FDJ account or create a new one.

This will let them play three multiplayer games: Insane Totem, Safe and Zanzibar. While each is different, they all require players to compete against other people and wager tokens.

Upon registration, users will receive 10 tokens for free, but to obtain more, they must either win or purchase them.

A dedicated in-app “shop” area will allow players to acquire tokens for real money. Six packs are available ranging from five tokens for €0.50 ($0.49) to 200 for €20.

After accumulating tokens, users can then double down and try to convert them into real currency by playing FDJ’s instant game La Roue - “The Wheel.”

This involves players betting their tokens and spinning a bronze, silver or gold wheel in an attempt to win €100, €10,000 or €100,000 respectively.

Ultimately, this new app is part of an ongoing effort to offer a more diverse range of digital content. As FDJ noted: “The group is expanding the gaming experiences available in its digital catalogue, with the aim of providing a diversified and responsible offer.”

Since players’ Wizz and FDJ accounts are linked, there is only one monetary balance between both platforms.
