The feature will allow gamers to engage in player versus player competition, and Softswiss hopes it will motivate player engagement.

The supplier’s new feature is an update of its Tournaments tool, which is available to all customers using the Softswiss platform.

Softswiss claims its new Team Tournaments feature increases a player’s chances of winning due to winning prizes being distributed among several players. When one player loses, there is still a chance of winning should other teammates be successful.

Team Tournaments will create up to 10 teams in the casino and each team can have a certain number of players.

Players will be allocated to groups based on operator-defined settings, aiming for an even distribution among teams.

Furthermore, Softswiss says players that engage in team tournament activity tend to be more active gamers and are willing to deposit more, according to research.

The supplier’s research shows that deposit rates increase between 10% and 20% when exposed to team gaming, and the player deposit amount doubles.

Softswiss Casino Platform Product Owner, Anna Loiko, said: "We are proud to announce the launch of Team Tournaments for our clients. Based on the results of the tournament’s functionality research, we can conclude that Team Tournaments will be demanded among operators and players.

“The new functionality engages a competitive element and generates team hype, which is the foundation for a high level of player engagement. Softswiss continues to update the feature and will soon introduce novelties that will make the offer even more attractive."
