In-Play MultiBet is a live, same-game accumulator product billed as another tool in sportsbooks’ arsenal to drive turnover and margins.

Same-game parlay bets enable customers to wager on multiple events within a single match, and have, as Genius said, “become an essential part of every major sportsbook’s offering.”

But through In-Play MultiBet, customers can place wagers once a game has begun, enabling them to bet after “every goal, touchdown and during intervals.”

Ultimately, Genius is hoping this product will appeal to both bettors’ desire for greater control and sportsbooks’ desire for improved margins.

But we won’t need to wait long to see whether this AI-powered product proves successful; it will be put to the test when the FIFA World Cup kicks off on 20 November.

In-Play MultiBet will also be available for the English Premier League, Liga MX and NFL, among other competitions around the world, including FIBA basketball and FIVB volleyball leagues.

“Combining same-game parlays with the unstoppable growth of in-play betting is a breakthrough innovation for us and our partners,” said Jack Davison, Genius Sports’ Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

“Starting with the biggest sports event of the year, the FIFA World Cup, In-Play MultiBet will enable our partners to unlock bigger margins and drive engagement between key match events and breaks.”

In other Genius news, the company recently launched a new free-to-play “pick’em” game in partnership with the Indianapolis Colts and Caesars Entertainment.
