Intralot signs five-year sports betting contract with Ohio Lottery

Per the deal, Intralot will utilise current lottery equipment and infrastructure to facilitate a sports betting solution for retailers and customers throughout the state.

The partnership is expected to go live in January 2023 and is already approved at 700 retail locations statewide. According to Intralot, this number is expected to grow to over 1,000 in the coming months.

Intralot received a provisional licence through the Ohio Casino Control Commission to operate in the Buckeye State, saying it expects to be issued with a five-year licence shortly after 1 January 2023.

The supplier has been active in Ohio since 2009, providing central gaming systems for in-state lotteries, as well as multi-state Ohio Lottery draws among other services.

Recently, Intralot launched a new website for Morocco’s state lottery in partnership with EveryMatrix.

The new website, La Marocaine des Jeux & des Sports en Ligne (MDJS), offers sports betting and iGaming to Moroccan players, and its website will now be updated with the solution provided to it by EveryMatrix and Intralot.

The operator hopes its new website can pick up quickly, as it has thousands of sales points across Morocco.

Online solutions provided to MDJS will include EveryMatrix’s OddsMatrix, the supplier’s sportsbook solution.

Elsewhere, the company reported a 20% rise in revenue for 2021 earlier this year.

When pandemic restrictions were lifted in various jurisdictions throughout 2021, Intralot’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) experienced a healthy rebound.
