With Betsafe, Betsson has introduced a range of B2C offerings including sports betting and an online casino for the Ontario market, which now comes under local regulation.
Customers in Ontario will be able to access its goods through the ot.betsafe.com website, as well as Betsson’s native mobile apps, which are 40% owned by Strive Gaming.
The product selection from Betsson for Ontario has been tailored to provide a North American player experience, according to the supplier.
Further, Betsson has obtained a supplier licence that allows the company to provide sportsbook service on a B2B basis to other operators.
Pontus Lindwall, President and CEO of Betsson AB, said: “We are pleased to obtain the necessary licenses to operate with both a B2C and B2B offering in the locally regulated online gaming market in Ontario.
"We are convinced that there are great opportunities for Betsson in Ontario in both the B2C and B2B channels as we bring a highly competitive offering to the market.”
As part of this commitment, Betsson has promised to implement the 10 principles of the Global Compact into its strategies and operational procedures, particularly those that deal with labour, the environment, and anti-corruption.
Lindwall recently joined Gambling Insider for a GI Huddle at ICE London.
