Suppliers GTech G2 are to provide Spanish sport newspaper Marca with a full online sports betting solution.
The deal with Marca owners Unidad Editorial will see G2’s Margin Market software hosted on Marca’s website, with wagering opportunities offered through in-play betting and a suite of online gaming products.
Marca are to launch a multi-million euro marketing campaign to promote the new Marca Apuestas brand.
GTech G2 president and CEO Walter Bugno said: “Marca has millions of loyal readers so this agreement will enhance GTech G2’s presence in Spain and solidify our leading position in the sports betting market.”
Nicola Speroni, Marca general manager, added: “The launch of an online sports betting product is an exciting chapter in the history of Marca and a step in developing its digital future.
