The WLA is a global organisation that upholds strict security, risk management, social and responsible gaming standards.

It was founded in 1999 and promotes the collective interests of its state-controlled lotteries, licensed sports betting operators and global suppliers.

Helmut Becker, CEO of Zeal, said: "We are proud the WLA has accepted us as a member.

"As the German market leader for online lotteries, we take our responsibility in the areas of compliance, security and risk management very seriously and attach great importance to social commitments as well.

“We are pleased to be a part of this important organisation with immediate effect and to support the high standards of the WLA and its members."

By becoming a member of the WLA, Zeal must comply with the standards set by the organisation.

In return, Zeal will be able to access the WLA's benefits, incuding being able to apply for WLA Security Control Standard certification, an independent measure of integrity.

Zeal will also have the chance to prove itself against the 10 responsible gaming principles and four performance levels that make up the WLA Responsible Gaming Framework certification.

The WLA holds annual events for its members to attend, which include seminars and programmes regarding the latest updates in the industry.

Members will be able to attend both this WLA Academy and the World Lottery Summit at reduced rates.

Finally, an exclusive library of research is hosted by the WLA Global Lottery Data Compendium that is accessible to Zeal through its membership, which includes statistics and revenues.

In January, NeoGames announced it had achieved the Responsible Gaming certification offered by the WLA.
