The hotel is expected to open in 2025. The property will be transformed by Cordish into a premier Live! Casino resort and entertainment complex.

Greg Guida, Co-CEO of Foundation Gaming & Entertainment, said: "We are looking forward to finishing up the demolition that was started in February to get the property ready for the transformation to a Live! Casino & Hotel."
The new Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, which represents an investment of more than $250m will include an upscale 400+ room resort-style hotel, over 47,000 square feet of gaming space, more than 1,000 slots and electronic table games and 30 or more live-action table games, among other amenities.
Meanwhile, Ronnie Johns, Chairman of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, added: "The Louisiana Gaming Control Board looks forward to working with The Cordish Companies. We will be working closely with both Foundation and Cordish to make this project a reality as soon as possible to deliver a gaming and entertainment destination that Louisiana can be proud of."
Additionally, Cordish intends to build a completely new, land-based casino to take the place of the current casino riverboat and introduce a number of dining and entertainment ideas, including a fine-dining steakhouse and an Asian restaurant.
