Kindred launches retail operations in Washington

Kindred Group has begun operations in retail at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge. A six-year agreement with the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community was announced in October 2022 and the operator has now launched its retail arm in the state.

Unibet-branded kiosks and over-the-counter sports betting are part of the sportsbook’s initial launch phase. An immersive Unibet sports betting lounge will be included as a future improvement and will debut later this year.

With a retail presence currently in three states – Pennsylvania, Arizona and Washington, Unibet Sportsbook at Swinomish Casino & Lodge is Kindred’s 13th retail launch in North America.

Manuel Stan, SVP of North America, Kindred Group, said: “We are delighted to launch the first phase of our exciting retail partnership with the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community.

“Work continues at pace to build a fantastic Unibet sportsbook lounge, offering customers to the Swinomish Casino & Lodge a truly immersive sports betting experience.”

Furthermore, Kindred will keep making investments in expanding its North American operations where market conditions permit a sustainable business model.

Recently, Kindred’s proposed proprietary gaming platform received approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE). The platform is expected to go live in May.

When it launches, Kindred has confirmed that the platform would abide by local laws and regulations for safer gambling in New Jersey.

Henrik Tjärnström, CEO of Kindred Group, said: “Introducing the Kindred platform to our customers in New Jersey will provide the entertainment and experience enjoyed by our customers in Europe.”
