on-based provider iSoftBet has been granted a production and distribution of gaming software license by the National Gambling Office of Romania (ONJN).
As a result of this development, iSoftBet will now be able to offer its portfolio of games to the Romanian market.
The provider will initially offer a selection of 50 games through Netbet.ro.
Romania is one of a number of European countries to have licensed iSoftBet, joining the UK, Spain, Italy, Denmark and Portugal.
Nir Elbaz, Managing Director of iSoftBet, said: “Expanding the number of regulated markets in which we are operational is a significant part of iSoftBet’s growth plan.
“We regard responsible gambling as the highest priority, and work hard to deliver fair and enjoyable games for players and maximum profits for our operators.”
The ONJN introduced an online gambling blacklist in July last year, with any operators wishing to offer their products in the Romanian market required to pay an entry/amnesty fee.
ISoftBet this month also signed a deal with Las Vegas Casino Diamond Ltd to provide its full array of desktop and mobile content to Vegas.hu, which will become Hungary’s first online casino.
