Million Games has acquired the game development division of Spiffbet, including Sthlm Gaming and Rhino Gaming games, as well as associated assets.
In its initial announcement of the sale, Spiffbet reported that the purchase price would depend on the outcome of the transferred business, but would be a maximum of SEK 3.5m ($326,889).
Spiffbet also explained that the sale was due to a refocus within the company, which going forward will prioritise its proprietary casino sites.
Thomas Nimstad, Million Games CEO, said: “Completing this acquisition and gaining access to Sthlm Gaming and the games under the Rhino Gaming brand is a great opportunity for Million Games to enhance its portfolio of games to be able to establish ourselves in a market with high competition.
“Through the deal, we can shorten the time to launch significantly.”
While Million Games will acquire the studios and game development businesses from Spiffbet, the titles will still be available through Spiffbet casinos.
The 21 titles will include Perfect Catch, Ricky Riches and Van Gogh, and will allow Million Games to expand its own game development process.
At the time of writing, Million Games focuses on developing iGaming titles for video slots, table games and crash games.
Henrik Svensson, Spiffbet CEO, said: “Seeing Sthlm Gaming being acquired by Million Games will make sure our games will reach new heights.
“Our teams share an unwavering passion for developing games that engage and captivate players and with Million Games' connections and industry expertise, we look forward to seeing our tradition live on to create thrilling gaming experiences, and delighting audiences worldwide continue.”
