RotoWire has launched the ‘Picks & Props’ app in the US. This new app, available on mobile and tablet devices, aims to meet the increasing demand in the fantasy pick'em and player props market.
The ‘Picks & Props’ app offers real-time recommendations and predictions for fantasy sports and player props, integrating data from betting and fantasy platforms.
This development follows an increase in traffic to RotoWire’s existing online tool for picks and props, which saw a 266% rise in the past nine months.
Peter Schoenke, RotoWire Co-Founder and former Chairman of the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association, said: “The Fantasy Pick'em and legal Player Props betting market has had explosive growth and we've seen strong user demand for RotoWire's leading player news and information for these products.”
The app consolidates data from various sources to offer users predictions for every major sport. It reportedly uses four key prediction factors: lines set by sportsbooks, recommendations from daily fantasy sports (DFS) pick'em sites, RotoWire projections and historical hit rates.
These factors generate a score from -100 (indicating a strong lean toward less) to +100 (indicating a strong lean toward more). Each prediction factor is weighted to contribute to the total score.
In addition to prediction scores, the app provides real-time updates on injuries and playing time.
This follows the acquisition of RotoWire by Gambling.com Group in early 2022, which aimed to enhance Gambling.com’s footprint in the US market.
Earlier this year, Gambling.com Group reported a 9% increase in Q1 revenue, amounting to $29.2m. This growth was driven by the launch of new markets, including North Carolina and the acquisition of Freebets.com and related assets. The affiliate also secured a $50m credit facility with Wells Fargo Bank.
