Fontainebleau Las Vegas will host the inaugural PPA Tour Las Vegas Pickleball Cup, marking the first professional pickleball championship on the Las Vegas Strip. The event is part of a three-year agreement with the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour).
The tournament will take place from 27 August to 1 September 2024, in Fontainebleau’s Royal Ballroom, a 105,000-square-foot venue. The competition will feature players from the Carvana PPA Tour, including athletes Ben Johns, Anna Leigh Waters, Olympic gold medallist Jack Sock and Wimbledon finalist Genie Bouchard.
The event will also include an amateur tournament expected to attract over 1,000 participants of various ages and skill levels from across the US.
Registration for competitors is open online, with a $95 registration fee and a $40 event fee per entry. Tickets for spectators are available for purchase online, starting at $25. The resort is offering special room rates for event attendees, accessible through a booking code provided with ticket purchase.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which opened in December 2023, has been involved in recent legal and corporate developments. In March 2024, the resort responded to a lawsuit from Wynn Resorts with a counterclaim, denying allegations of employee poaching and accusing Wynn of intimidation tactics.
Additionally, in January 2024, Maurice Wooden, formerly President of Wynn Las Vegas, was appointed as President of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, bringing experience in luxury hospitality to the role.
