Crown Resorts has announced the appointment of several key leadership roles.
David Tsai, formerly CEO of Crown Perth, has been appointed Group COO, with effect from 1 August 2024. Tsai will report to Group CEO Ciarán Carruthers, while Brian Pereira, currently CFO of Crown Perth, will be Interim CEO of Crown Perth, subject to regulatory approval.
Other group leadership appointments include Gemma Allman as group Chief Government Relations Officer, Nicole Pelchen as Chief Technology Officer and Louise Tebbutt commencing as Chief People & Culture Office.
In Crown Sydney, Stanford Le has been appointed CEO, pending necessary regulatory approvals.
Pelchen will commence her new role on 12 August 2024, Tebbutt in September 2024 while Le and Allman will start in October 2024.
Carruthers said: “I am delighted to announce David’s expanded role as President & Group COO and to welcome four new veterans in their respective industries – who bring global perspectives and experiences – to Crown Resorts. Stanford, Gemma, Louise and Nicole will be terrific additions to the team at an important time of transformation for the business.”
Carruthers also expressed appreciation for McWhinnie’s efforts in leading the company’s “extensive reform and remediation program” in Sydney for the past three years.
Crown’s last appointment was that of John Borghetti AO as Ghairman of the group, effective 1 July 2024.
In December 2023, Crown Resorts faced ye more scrutiny, with Victoria's casino regulator investigating allegations against CEO Carruthers. The operator also cut 1,000 jobs in late April.
