ry iGaming’s subsidiary PlayCherry Ltd has been granted a local UK licence for gaming operators from the UK Gambling Commission which will mean it can engage the entire UK market with its cutting-edge propositions. The licence covers both Casino and Sports Betting.
Cherry’s iGaming business area continues its growth aspirations by opening in new markets, including this licence to operate in the UK. Cherry iGaming will be focusing on opportunities with some of its brands, initially utilising the licence for flagship brand CherryCasino.com as well as the recently re-launched white label EuroSlots.com. Highly successful brand Sunmaker.com will then be pushed within the UK.
Cherry iGaming already holds gaming licenses in Malta, Curacao and Schleswig-Holstein. Cherry estimates that the proportion of profits from locally deregulated markets will increase in the years to come.
Jonas Wåhlander, CEO at Cherry iGaming, said: “This is an additional step in the evolvement of Cherry iGaming. Through a wide offering we will have a brand for every key customer segment in the UK market, encompassing all types of products to engage with them. With the current presence and insight we have, combined with ComeOn’s experience, we expect a positive entry into the market and are excited about the potential of this very important market.”
