Wanna.com has introduced a new daily fantasy sports app called Wanna Parlay. The app allows users to participate in parlay-style contests, where players can build their own unique combinations of sports picks and compete to rank in the top 10 on the leaderboard.
Those who succeed can win cash prizes, with multiple contests offered each week and the opportunity for players to submit multiple entries.
Users can reportedly create their own parlays, selecting from a variety of options such as game spreads, winner predictions, player statistics and over/under scores.
Points are awarded based on the difficulty of the selections and players must not only succeed in their picks but also outperform their competitors to win.
The development of Wanna Parlay is attributed to Jim Bob Morris and Carson Coffman, both former professional football players in the NFL and USFL.
The app reportedly originated from their experience in competitive sports and aims to offer an experience that reflects the excitement and strategy of professional sports competition.
The duo first launched the Wanna platform in Brazil in 2019 as a peer-to-peer social betting app, with Wanna Parlay evolving as a feature to offer larger prizes for parlay contests. The success of this feature led to the creation of a standalone app.
The app’s release comes amid growing competition in the fantasy sports industry. Other platforms, such as GameOn, are also expanding its offerings. In June 2024, GameOn announced the launch of its GameOn Live Fantasy app ahead of the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament, which featured a $200,000 prize pool.
