Key points:
- Myntet has joined the Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling (BOS)
- The company operates under the brand Klirr.com and holds a Swedish gambling licence
- BOS has now accepted three new gambling operators as members within a single week
The Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling (BOS) has confirmed the addition of Myntet as its latest member, marking the third gambling operator to join the organisation in the space of a week.
Myntet is licensed in Sweden and operates the iGaming brand Klirr.com.
Myntet’s membership follows a recent trend of increased engagement from licensed companies seeking representation within Sweden’s regulated gambling framework.
Gustaf Hoffstedt, Secretary General of BOS, said: “We are so happy to welcome Myntet to BOS. It is important that entrepreneurship and innovation are enabled within the Swedish licensing system. With the election of Myntet, BOS also notes three new members within a single week – a hat-trick that gives energy for current and future challenges in the Swedish gambling market.”
Myntet CEO Johan Königslehner added: “We see the strength in speaking with one single voice from the industry towards the gambling authority, the government and other important stakeholders. We are happy to contribute to this through our membership in BOS.”
Good to know: The announcement follows last week’s news that BetConstruct had also joined BOS. The company, known for its B2C brand VBet, described the move as a strategic step in its continued expansion within Sweden
BOS is actively pushing for reforms to Sweden’s Gambling Act, with a focus on tightening rules to prevent unlicensed operators from targeting Swedish consumers. Recent membership additions are seen as reinforcing its influence in ongoing policy discussions.
