ts and betting-related data suppliers Sportradar have extended the partnership between their subsidiary SportsStat and World Snooker Ltd, the governing body of snooker.

The relationship between the organisations, which began in 2010, has been extended by a further five years, meaning the firms will continue to work together and develop their data services over a number of platforms until 2018.

Sportradar group CEO Carsten Koerl said: “We look forward to a long and rewarding partnership as we are convinced that together we can shape future developments and play an active part in the creation of an even more exciting product portfolio for the world of Snooker.”

Barry Hearn, chairman of World Snooker, added: “World Snooker has recognised the importance of delivering its own official data across a variety of media.

“The Live Scoring site attracted 8.5 million visitors in 2012 and with over 10 million forecasted for 2013 here it is clear that the sport has become truly global.”
