Isle of Man unveil new online gaming head

r Greenhill has been appointed as the new head of e-gaming development for the Isle of Man.

Originally coming from a banking background with the likes of Credit Lyonnais, GE and Unisys, Greenhill has over 17 years’ experience in executive management positions in the gaming sector.

Spells as marketing director of EssNet AB and CEO of Betex saw him provide solutions to lotteries across the world, while he also supplied major European casino and betting operators while managing director of providers Cyberview UK and manufacturers TCS John Huxley Europe.

As an executive consultant he has advised a number of companies in the mobile and e- gaming sector on their B2B operations, while also working for the board of lottery operators Camelot on strategic issues.

Greenhill, who will officially assume his role in June, was appointed by the Isle of Man’s Department of Economic Development following a public recruitment process.

He said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to help to build on the major contribution that e-gaming makes to the Isle of Man economy.

“The Island has an unrivalled reputation for the quality of its gaming legislation, its technology infrastructure and its “can do” attitude and I look forward to moving to the Island very shortly to take up this exciting position.”

Minister for Economic Development John Shimmin MHK added: “I am very pleased we have been able to attract someone of the calibre and experience of Peter Greenhill to this key role.

“He will lead the implementation of a new gaming strategy that has been developed in conjunction with the private sector and which indicates this sector offers significant potential for further economic growth and job creation.”
