Unibet named official betting partner for the Investec Derby Festival

et, part of the Kindred Group, were confirmed today as the official betting partner for the Investec Derby Festival after signing a three-year deal with the Epsom Downs Racecourse.

On the first weekend of June, Epsom Downs Racecourse will play host to two days of top-class flat racing, attracting some of the best thoroughbred racehorses in Europe.

The Investec Derby is seen as the greatest flat race in the world and the ultimate test of three-year-old thoroughbreds, boasting a record minimum total prize fund of £1.5m.

Ed Nicholson, Head of Racing Communications and Sponsorship at Kindred Group, said: “The Investec Derby remains the most prestigious flat race in the world. It is a British institution whose history and tradition resonates around the globe, and Unibet are honoured to be associated with such an iconic race as official betting partner.”

Unibet have estimated that there will be bets in excess of £60m on this year’s Investec Derby all across the entire gambling industry and it hopes that the new deal will see more people betting via their mobile phone than ever before.
