PokerHigh signs Bollywood star Rampal

By Robert Simmons
Indian online poker website PokerHigh have confirmed the appointment of Bollywood star Arjun Rampal as brand ambassador.

PokerHigh is one of India’s fastest growing legal online poker sites, having been among the first to receive an online poker licence under the ‘Nagaland Prohibition of Gaming and Promotion and Regulation of Online Games of Skill Act 2016’ in December of that year.

The appointment of Rampal is a major coup for the company and follows their recent partnership with Europe’s King Casino in sponsoring the first Indian poker player at the PartyPoker Festival’s main event.

Mithun Rebello, co-founder and managing director at PokerHigh, said: “We are proud to associate with Arjun Rampal, who truly reflects the modern, aspirational and fun persona of the PokerHigh brand and its users.

“He understands poker as a sport and is a true ambassador of the game. We are committed to delivering a memorable online entertainment experience to India, and believe that this association with Arjun will enable us to take our brand philosophy to new heights.”

In a press release announcing his appointment as brand ambassador Rampal said: “I am excited to be associated with PokerHigh. After a day’s work, you want some me-time and little victories that keep you going everyday – PokerHigh does just that! I am excited to work with the brand and look forward to a great journey ahead”
