Pair of appointments boost Betsson management

Betsson has continued the restructuring of its management team, appointing Petra Zackrisson as VP Corporate Development and Fredric Lundén to the newly-created position of VP Governance, Risk and Compliance.

Pair of appointments boost Betsson management

Lundén, who has previously worked for SEB Group and the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, will take up the position on 1 September 2017, in a role Betsson felt was required to meet the increase in local regulatory requirements taking hold throughout Europe.

“Ensuring that Betsson invests ethically and long-term in relation to regulatory risks and opportunities” will be among Lundén’s primary responsibilities.

Betsson CEO Ulrik Bengtsson welcomed the appointments: “The development of the gaming industry means great opportunities for Betsson.

“The ability to navigate correctly in a rapidly changing regulatory environment will be a competitive advantage, both for our existing operations and for our acquisition strategy.

“Fredric and Petra completes Betsson’s Group management and I look forward to working together with them in making Betsson even more successful.”

Lundén and Zackrisson will join Kaaren Hilsen as part of Betsson’s re-jigged management setup.

Hilsen was announced as the group’s new CFO in April 2017, and will assume her new role on 1 October.
