Imperial Pacific’s Saipan casino to open 6 July
Hong Kong-listed Imperial Pacific Holdings announced on Monday that it will be opening its lavish new casino on the Western Pacific island of Saipan on 6 July.
After being approved by local regulators, the company said in a statement that it would be moving from its temporary casino facility – known as Best Sunshine Live – to the new Imperial Pacific Resort Hotel in the village of Garapan.
The casino complex will feature “over 70 gaming tables and over 190 electronic gaming machines,” the company said in a statement.
However, despite casino operations starting on 6 July, the Imperial Pacific Casino will not be offering accommodation at this stage, with the planned hotel still undergoing construction.
Mr Kwong Yiu Ling, Chief Executive Officer of Imperial Pacific International, added: “Imperial Pacific has committed to the development of world-class investment and high-end entertainment projects in Saipan. We are very excited to transfer to the Imperial Pacific Resort Hotel.
“It is our first milestone and will definitely help to launch a new era of luxury in Saipan. We will be working very hard for the sustainable development and Saipan will become one of the most desirable travel destinations in the world.”
