Nektan break ground in the US

Gibraltar-based Nektan PLC has taken its first real-money wager in the country as a result of its ‘Evolve’ deployment in a tribal Californian casino.

Nektan break ground in the US

Nektan’s US operating subsidiary in partnership with Spin Games, Respin LLC, provides US land-based casinos with an in-venue mobile gaming solution. The gaming solution gives casino customers the chance to play games on their mobile devices whilst on-premise. This includes all of the cabinets fitted with the solution.

This innovation sees the seamless blending of smart phones and other tablet devices to the casino floors. This advancement could be a huge lure for millennials and a younger demographic as well as increase potential retention numbers.

Gary Shaw, CEO of Nektan comments: “We are very pleased to have taken our first ever real-money wager in North America with an established land-based operator in California. We are leading the market at an exciting time for our industry and have the opportunity to drive our technology through any number of casinos in North America. As first movers in Class II mobile casino, our team are focused on helping the tribal land-based operators evolve into successful iGaming businesses”.

Nektan has said that it expects to roll out the platform across a further three casinos in Northern California over the current quarter.

Jim Wilkinson, Chairman of Nektan adds: “After the strong growth achieved during the last year in Europe, it is a testament to the management that the company is managing to establish its business as a market leader in mobile casino gaming in the North American market.”
