Las Vegas Sands to renovate The Palazzo

The Palazzo Casino in Las Vegas will be undergoing a large scale renovation as reported by local media. This latest renovation work follows a number of high profile renovation projects on the Las Vegas strip in an attempt to attract more VIP gamblers to the city's casino venues.

The project is estimated at $15m and will rival the MGM Monte Carlo Resort which is also currently undergoing renovations. Despite costing far less than the Monte Carlo’s $450m project, Palazzo has only been open since New Year’s Eve 2007.

Renovations include the opening of two new bars, with over $2m alone to be spent on a renovation of The Corner Bar and an unnamed second bar on the main casino floor.

The space in the Palazzo’s casino floor is more than 60,000 square feet with over 1,000 slot machines. Las Vegas Sands have yet to publicly comment on the renovations.
