Leadership overhaul at Aruze Gaming

By Manuel Marti
Aruze Gaming America Inc has announced major changes to its organisational structure and leadership, noting that Richard Pennington would be resigning from his positions as President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Pennington has resigned from his multiple roles with immediate effect. However, he will remain in the electronic gaming equipment supplier as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Senior Advisor to the CFO and CEO.

“I am extremely proud to have been a member of executive management at Aruze for the last seven years. I truly wish I could continue for another seven years, but my personal situation makes that impractical,” said Pennington after this move.

With his departure, Eric Persson will assume the responsibilities of President and Chief Operating Officer as he joins the board. He stated: “I’m excited to be a part of this opportunity and to utilise the knowledge I’ve gained over the past 18 years to take Aruze’s sales, marketing, and research and development to the next level.”

Following these changes, Yugo Kinoshita, who had been Aruze Gaming America COO, becomes Chief Financial Officer as well as Chief Strategic Officer. Additionally, the company’s former Chief Legal Officer Robert Ziems will become Corporate Secretary and a Board Member.

“Aruze is continually looking at adapting our organization in response to changes in the gaming market and personal situations. These organisational changes enhance our leadership capabilities and give Aruze the best opportunity to fulfill its mission,” said the remaining CEO and Chairman of the Board Takahiro Usui.
