William Hill promotes Brooker to Chair of the Corporate Responsibility Committee

d of Responsible Gambling Week, William Hill Plc has announced that Mark Brooker will become the new Chairman of the group’s Corporate Responsibility Committee.

Brooker, who takes the role after having worked in a number of years in the gaming industry, will replace Ashley Highfield who leaves the Board of Governance with effect from 16 November 2017. Brooker joined William Hill in November 2016 as Non-Executive Advisory after serving as Betfair’s Chief Executive and Executive Director.

He was later promoted to Non-Executive Director, a position he held until this latest promotion. Under his new role, Brooker will be responsible for managing group policies, programs, strategies and initiatives relating to social/corporate responsibility matters.

Through this coming week, the sports betting giant aims to increase the uptake and awareness of voluntary set limits and educate customers about the tools available from the industry to help them control their gambling.
