Monarch Casino revenues up to about $60m for second quarter

Net revenue for US casino operator Monarch Casino & Resort went up about 3% year-on-year for the second quarter of 2018, to $59.9m.

Half-year net income rose by 32% to $15.9m and gross revenues were $116.1m, up 4%.

John Farahi, Co-Chairman and CEO of Monarch, commented: “Our continued growth in the second quarter highlights our strategic positioning in two of the country’s most favourable gaming markets. Second quarter revenue growth of 3% was driven by record second quarter levels of slot win at Atlantis Casino Resort and Monarch Black Hawk, while Atlantis also delivered its highest ever level of second quarter hotel revenue.”

Monarch owns two casinos; the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada, and the Black Hawk Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado.
