ractive entertainment publisher Atari will be joining forces with provider Pariplay to launch its video game brands in the i-gaming market.
The strategic partnership will see Atari's "robust portfolio of iconic properties" such as the arcade "classics" Centipede, Tempest and Pong launched across real-money gambling formats including i-lottery, social, online and mobile platforms.
A real-money website is set for launch in Q4, while Pariplay will also distribute Atari-branded games throughout their network to make them available to operators.
Pariplay, part of a joint venture with Majesco Entertainment Company, will designate several of the most successful Atari brands to its i-lottery network. Lotteries will then be able to "host the next generation of fixed-odds and predetermined outcome games" from Atari.
Gili Lisani, CEO of Pariplay, said: "Atari was a pioneer in the interactive entertainment space, having built tremendous brand equity through their rich suite of beloved brands. We are proud to steward their entry into the evolving i-gaming category where players can engage with their properties in exciting new ways."
Fred Chesnais, CEO of Atari, said Pariplay's expertise in real-money gambling and their "solid back-end architecture” made them an ideal partner.
He continued: "This initiative, coupled with our recent FlowPlay social casino announcement, supports our broader vision to expand Atari's legacy properties outside of the gaming field."
