New Jersey gaming revenue and sports wagering grow in October
New Jersey’s total gaming revenue for October grew 16% year-on-year to $239m.
The Garden State saw 8% growth in casino win to $200.6m, a 30% rise in internet gaming win to $26.7m and sports wagering revenue of $11.6m.
From January to October, New Jersey’s casino win was 35% higher ($2.09bn) than in 2017, while internet gaming win increased by 19% to $242.7m.
The addition of $51.9m in sports betting revenue has grown the state’s overall year-to-date revenue by 6% to $2.38bn.
In October, sports betting revenue fell from $23.9m in September – but not through a decrease in total wagering.
While $183.9m was bet on sports in September, $260.7m was wagered in October – $174.3m of which came from online sportsbooks.
Total New Jersey gaming taxes amounted to $19.8m for the month.
