William Hill receives “all necessary competition approvals” for MRG takeover

The offer was made on 31 October and remains open until 17 January.

A statement from the operator said: “William Hill has now been granted approvals from the competition authorities in all necessary jurisdictions.

“As a consequence, the offer is no longer conditional upon any approvals from authorities.”

William Hill expects the settlement to begin on or around 25 January.

The settlement will begin as soon as William Hill announces the conditions for the offer have been satisfied or when William Hill has otherwise resolved to complete the offer.
