Delaware accepts $86.9m in sports betting handle in 2018

Delaware took $86.9m in sports betting handle during 2018.

Full-scale sports wagering began on 5 May across three Delaware venues.

Delaware Park took $60.8m in handle throughout the year, while Dover Downs accepted $15.9m in bets and Harrington Raceway $10.2m.

In terms of revenue, the three venues generated $10.2m between them, with Delaware Park accounting for $6.2m of this.

For the month of December, Delaware accepted $16.1m in handle, earning revenue of $2.1m.

Again, Delaware Park accounted for the most sizeable portion of this tally, accepting $10.8m in bets and generating $1.5m in revenue.

December’s sports wagering performance was similar to that of November, in terms of handle, although Delaware's revenue improved from $1.1m during that month.
