Hard Rock's online sportsbook launch nears

Hard Rock Online Gaming is close to launching an online sportsbook in New Jersey, powered by Gaming Innovation Group (GiG).

Supplier GiG secured a US sports betting agreement with Hard Rock in October, while the supplier was also granted an affiliate vendor registration in New Jersey earlier this month.

The launch of the sportsbook was announced on Friday, but was later retracted, although the accidental announcement indicates the launch is near.

With the launch of Hard Rock’s new sportsbook, players will be able to wager on football, basketball, baseball, hockey, college sports, soccer and more, with mobile apps also in development.

Hard Rock has already signed partnerships with operators Kindred Group and Bet365.

Kresimir Spajic, SVP Online Gaming at Hard Rock International, said: "The launch of the sportsbook at HardRockSports.com is another milestone on our journey to become the most innovative and comprehensive online gaming service for players in the state of New Jersey."

Robin Reed, GiG CEO, said: "Hard Rock has global recognition, unparalleled reach and the same high ambitions as us. We look forward to continuing to support Hard Rock’s growth in New Jersey and expansion around the world."
