Ohio's gambling revenue flourishes due to racinos

Gambling revenue in Ohio  increased 3% year-on-year to $140.7m for January, according to the state's Casino Control Commission.

Ohio

The increase was due to racinos, which saw revenue increase 7% to $78.3m. The racinos revenue is one of the lead contributors to the state's overall growth.

Casinos took a small hit, losing 1% from Ohio's four casinos, to $62m.

The state has seven racinos at racetracks. Under Ohio's regulations, each racino is limited to slots games of chance on the racino floor. No table games are allowed in these particular areas.
