Kambi signs sportsbook deal for Mohegan Sun

By Tim Poole

Supplier Kambi has agreed a deal to provide Mohegan Sun with its online and retail sportsbook solutions.

Mohegan Sun, which recently signed a strategic partnership with New York City Football Club, is a Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment resort in Connecticut.

Despite sports wagering not yet being regulated in the state, Mohegan Sun hopes pending legislation will legalise Connecticut sports betting in 2019.

Kambi will be its chosen supplier should that eventuality come to pass, adding to a roster of customers already including DraftKings, Rush Street Interactive, Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment and 888 Holdings.

Kristian Nylén, Kambi CEO, said: "Kambi’s strategy in the US is to partner with the biggest and best gaming operators each state has to offer.

"In Mohegan Sun, not only have we partnered with one of the two largest casinos in Connecticut, but also one of the leading gaming and entertainment destinations across the whole of the country."
